This art project is about the balance between an idea as such and its physical form. I am interested in the how of form making. How does a spirit create physical reality? How does a thought become matter? Why exactly like that since there are a lot of mediums? How did humanity reach such a point in history where we can transfer audio and video signals on the level of reality imitation? You are located in point A, another person in point B – how does a signal gets transferred between them?

Function of art is to share knowledge. Function of speakers, for example, is to provide sound. Art can be understood either by itself or via practice, while all that it takes for the function of speakers to be heard – is to press a button.

My paper is of clay. I am writing with a wooden pen, gathering elements of a whole. Medium is about weightlessness. Medium is when tactile reality of this world vanishes, when you feel lightness on all levels.

 

This project answers these and other questions.

Цей художній проект розповідає про баланс між ідеєю як такою та її фізичною формою. Мене цікавить як ідея набуває форми? Як дух формує фізичну реальність? Як думка стає матерією? Чому саме такою, адже медіумів так багато? Як людство дійшло можливості передачі звукового та відео сигналу на рівні імітації реальності? Тобто, ти знаходишся у точці А, а інша людина у точці Б: як можлива передача сигналу між ними?

Функція мистецтва – ділитись знанням. Функція, наприклад, аудіо колонки – давати звук. Але мистецтво може бути доступним лише тим, хто його розуміє сам по собі або завдяки практиці. У той час як звук аудіо колонки є доступним кожному хто їх просто включить.

Мій папір із глини. Я пишу дерев’яною ручкою, збираючи частки одного цілого. Медіум – то про невісомість. Медіум – то коли тілесність цього світу розчиняється, коли відчуваєш легкість у всіх матеріях.
