Heartquake

“Heartquake” is a project about earthquakes that have been happening in the past decade due to gas excavation in province of Groningen. The idea originated as we wanted to link viewers with external. Global village is present in everybody’s pocket in means of a cell phone as we physically stay in one reality, while talking to somebody miles away. Groningen’s earthquakes are a well known yet distant problem, reaching out to people only in means of data. To bringing people closer to the actual experience of earthquake, we created awareness and highlighted the importance of the overlooked vibrations in the heart of Groningen. Danger and pulse of the heartquake directly under your fingertips.
